In November 2018, Louis Vuitton in France partnered with MICRODON, allowing employees based in France to round down their monthly salary to the nearest euro, allowing their extra cents to be donated to UNICEF.
Once an employee is signed up to the program, their donations are automatically deducted every month from their salary, with the option to cancel at any time. Employees can also decide to add an additional donation between €1 and €10 every month.
If I choose only the cent donation, rounding down €0.10, I will receive €1,776 in my bank account.
If I choose to add €3, donating €3.10, I will receive €1,773 in my bank account.
The small donation of a few cents or euros each month is part of a large collective donation. If everyone within Louis Vuitton registers for the payroll donation scheme, the collective amount of cents donated will make a significant difference to the funds we raise for UNICEF.
If you are based in another country, please check with your local HR to see if any future programs are planned for your territory.
